FAQs

What is the dress code?

We’d love to see our family and friends get dressed up for the big day! The dress code is formal. The goal is to look elegant while staying comfortable and enjoying a beautiful outdoor setting (i.e., light or breathable fabrics). Opt for floor or tea-length dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or tuxes.

Florals, pastels, and summery colors are encouraged—think upscale garden party!

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Please keep in mind that the ceremony will take place outside on grass. If you plan on wearing heels, a block heel or heel stoppers are highly recommended.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Both! The ceremony and reception (tented) will take place outdoors. The cocktail hour and after-party will be indoors.

Can I bring a date?

We are so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest. However, due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones! However, due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

How should I get to the wedding?

Unfortunately, Uber and other ride share services are not available around Callicoon. However, we’ve arranged shuttles to transport you to and from the wedding venue. This way, you can relax and enjoy the celebration without any worries about getting there! You’re also welcome to drive and park onsite. Shuttle details will be provided closer to the wedding date. Please be sure to let us know where you are staying when you RSVP.

Is there parking onsite?

Yes, free parking is available at Seminary Hill and Seminary Hill’s Mountain House.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin punctually at 3:30pm on Saturday, August 16. Please arrive no later than 3:00pm.

What is the order of events?

  • Ceremony: 3:30pm-4:00pm

  • Cocktail Hour: 4:00pm-5:00pm

  • Reception: 5:00pm-9:00pm

  • After Party: 9:00pm-12am

Why is everything starting so early?

We’ve planned an early start to accommodate the noise ordinance in the Catskills. This ensures that we can enjoy our celebration without any disruptions.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, let’s party!!

What’s with the apple tree?

Our wedding logo is featuring an apple tree because an apple tree symbolizes love, growth, and new beginnings—perfect for our story together and for our celebration at an apple orchard and cidery. The carving “A + J 4eva” adds a playful touch, reflecting our childlike spirit and the enduring nature of our commitment.
